I work to help my clients prepare for both the expected and unexpected. You never know what might come up, and as your attorney, I want to make sure that you’re ready for anything. I was raised as a Texan. I value hard work, integrity, the Golden Rule, and solving problems with common sense.

I am motivated to solve problems, no matter how difficult they may be, to make a difference in people’s lives. These are the reasons I became an attorney to begin with. In addition to this, I also put every bit of my effort into helping you with your legal plan. I am a firm believer that your legal plan must reflect the things that matter the most to you.

    How the Process Works

Every client’s situation is unique. Everyone has their own concerns and questions that need to be addressed. This is why when we work together on your legal plan, it begins with a conversation. This conversation helps me get to know the ins and outs of your situation, your legal concerns, and your goals, so we can come up with a plan to best accomplish your objectives.

It’s common for clients to have a lot of questions. This can be a lot to wrap your head around, and of course you’re going to want someone to explain everything to you. I work had to answer these questions and walk clients through the process to make things as easy and understandable as possible for them. Because of the kinds of cases I take on, this means that my day-to-day routine changes frequently.

In 2005, I graduated from the University of Tulsa, College of Law, and was admitted to the State Bar of Texas the same year. In the two decades since I started practicing law, I have made sure that I constantly stay up-to-date with the latest developments and stay current on any changes in the law. This ensures that you’re getting advice that is current and relevant to your case, no matter why you may be coming to me.

I want all of my clients to know that it’s my goal to help them for the better in any way that I can. It all starts with reaching out and having that conversation. Call or email me today so we can start working on the legal plan that best fits your needs.

    Practice Areas

    Probate Law

Probate and Estate administration is the legal process in which a deceased person’s estate is managed, distributed, and finalized. When a person dies with a Last Will and Testament (or “Will” for short), that Will may need to be probated in Court. When a person dies without a Will, a different legal procedure may be needed to determine the deceased person’s heirs and appoint an administrator their estate. When a person dies and leaves a trust, an attorney may be needed to guide the Trustee through the process of administering and distributing the Trust.

    Estate Planning

Most people think that you don’t need to make plans for their estate until later in life. In reality, it’s a good idea to have an estate plan in place, no matter your age or the value of your assets, in the event that the inevitable comes earlier than expected. Estate planning covers everything from who gets what after your death, to naming persons to make decisions for you if you are unable to make those decisions (medical, financial, etc) to making sure your assets are protected, and planning for the tax implications in the process.

    Real Estate Law

Having a lawyer who can help you through different real estate transactions can be crucial to navigating everything without issues. Real estate law includes transactions such as deeds, promissory notes, deeds of trust, residential leases, commercial leases, leasing contacts, and purchasing contracts.

    Business Law

If you want to set up a new business, purchase a business, purchase the assets of a business, or just need legal advice for your business, having a lawyer you can trust is essential.

    Elder Law

While elder law covers a large range of topics, the general purpose is to protect the rights of senior citizens and help them plan for their future. This includes everything from Medicaid planning and executing powers of attorney to creating trusts and establishing living wills.

    Marital Agreements

Marital agreements, such as prenuptial or postnuptial agreements, serve to protect and allocate assets in a number of situations in a marriage. While most people correlate this with how assets are divided in a divorce, these agreements are important in the context of a death, where the community or separate property character of property is important to identify.

    Guardianship

Guardianship cases involve establishing a relationship between someone who needs to be taken care of, usually a minor or incapacitated person, and someone who will legally take care of them.
